Timothy J. Dow
Tim is a founding member of the firm. Previously, he was the managing partner of the Fort Collins law firm of
Sommermeyer, Wick, Dow & Campbell, LLC. Originally from Kearney, Nebraska, Tim was raised in Greeley,
Colorado. He received his B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Northern Colorado (1973) and an
M.B.A. from Colorado State University (1974). He received his J.D. from the University of Nebraska (1978). Tim has been involved in numerous community activities, boards and commissions.
His primary areas of practice include business, real estate and water law.

Patricia Templar Dow
Patty is a founding member of the firm. Previously, she was an associate in the Tax & Probate department of the Denver
law firm of Sherman & Howard L.L.C. Originally from Wisconsin, Patty has lived in Colorado since 1987. She
received a B.S. in Business Administration with an accounting emphasis from Colorado State University (1990). She also earned a J.D.
from the University of Colorado (1994), where she was a member of the University of Colorado Law Review and a recipient of the American Jurisprudence Award for Commercial Transactions. Patty received an advanced degree in Taxation (L.L.M.) from the University
of Denver (1997) and is also a certified public accountant (C.P.A.). Her primary areas of practice include estate
planning and taxation. Patty is co-author of FLP's for Family Asset Management and Transfer Tax Planning, 24 Colo. Law 1245 (1995), and author of The Unique Benefits of Conservation Easements in Colorado,
30 Colo. Law 49 (2001).

Mayo "Butch" Sommermeyer, LLC
Butch joined the firm as "of counsel" in 1997. Previously, he was the senior partner of the Fort Collins law firm of
Sommermeyer, Wick, Dow & Campbell, LLC. Originally from Oak Park, Illinois, Butch received his B.S. from Colorado
State University (1961) and his J.D. from the University of Denver (1964). He is a well-known trial attorney in Colorado
and Wyoming and has been in private practice in Larimer County since 1969. Butch's area of practice is water law. Butch also serves as an arbitrator and mediator in civil
matters. He is an "A-rated" attorney with Martindale-Hubbell.
